Lanka Kand Part 8 | The Fall of Ravana

And Ram delivers the final blow. Ravana’s end marks the victory of dharma over ego.

The Night Before the End

The battlefield was quiet again.

Most monkeys lay unconscious.

Jambavan saw the condition and called the remaining bears.

They attacked Ravana with full force.

In anger, Jambavan struck Ravana with a powerful kick.

Ravana fell from his chariot.

Unconscious.

Night had arrived.

A charioteer carried Ravana back to Lanka.

Sita Hears the War

That same night

Trijata told everything to Sita.

Every detail of the war.

Sita grew restless.

Is My Ram safe?
Who is stronger?
What will happen next?

Trijata tried to calm her.

She said:

Ravana can only be defeated if his heart is struck.

Then she added softly:

Maybe Ram is not killing him yet…
because Ravana’s heart still holds you.

Sita fell silent.

After Trijata left, she looked at the sky.

The moon.
The stars.

And prayed.

Ravana Returns

At midnight, Ravana regained consciousness.

He saw his charioteer.

And became furious.

Why did you bring me back?
You should have left me on the battlefield!

But morning came

And Ravana returned into battlefield.

The Illusion of Fear

The war began again.

Monkeys attacked from all sides.

They surrounded Ravana.

Jumping.
Striking.
Pulling his hair.

But Ravana changed the battlefield.

He created a terrifying illusion.

A giant multi-armed demon form.

Weapons in every hand.

Fire everywhere.

Sand in the air.

The army scattered.

Even Lakshman and Vibhishan felt fear.

The Breaking of Illusion

Ravana created another illusion-

Hundreds of Hanuman.

All surrounding Ram.

All shouting:

Kill him!

Even monkeys appeared to curse Ram.

But Ram remained calm.

He studied the illusion.

Found its weakness.

And destroyed it.

The army returned.

The Secret Revealed

Ram attacked again.

Cut Ravana’s heads.
Severed his arms.

But they returned.

Again.

And again.

Then Vibhishan spoke:

His power lies in his navel.

In that moment

Everything changed.

The Final Strike

Ram raised his bow.

The air trembled.

He released a series of divine arrows.

One arrow struck the navel.
Another took the head.
Others cut the arms.

Ravana’s body shook.

Ravana fell.

Even in his final breath—

Where is Ram?
I will kill him…

Then

Silence.

Ravana was gone.

The Aftermath

The battlefield froze.

Monkeys and bears cheered.

The impossible had happened.

Ravana

The undefeated.

The unstoppable.

Had fallen.

Lanka in Mourning

In Lanka

Mandodari fainted at the sight.

Women cried.

They removed ornaments.

Let their hair loose.

Grief filled the city.

They said:

The one who ruled everything…
lies defeated today.

Vibhishan’s Pain

Vibhishan stood silent.

Torn.

He was wrong…
but he was my brother.

Ram saw his pain.

He told Lakshman:

Stay with him.
Give him strength.

Lakshman spoke gently.

Shared wisdom.

Helped him stand.

The Last Rites

Then Ram said:

Now perform his final rites.

Vibhishan stepped forward.

With full rituals

He honored Ravana.

Both armies stood together.

Warriors.
Enemies.
Brothers.

All present.

The fire rose.

And Ravana’s story ended.

The Victory of Dharma

An ordinary man

With no kingdom.
No army of kings.

Defeated the most powerful ruler.

To be continued…

The story does not end here.

And the final lessons

are yet to come.

Thank you for reading.
